The King

The King Archetype is also known as the Father Archetype. It highlights and includes, in a mysterious way, all the qualities of all the other 3 archetypes. The subtle energy of Jupiter and Prithivi tattva govern the King Archetype. This archetype resonates with Shiva Pashupati, the Good Shepherd who protects and guides his flock. It also corresponds to Brahma, the creator in Hindu Trinity.Any man awakening this archetype will spontaneously resonate with the King of the World from Shambala. It is a symbol of wisdom and masculine divinity. He has the power to organize everything around him, to bring harmony, order and balance everywhere. He manifests the principles of blessing and creativity, is capable of correct and quick reasoning (thinking), powerful discrimination and a sense of value, security, balance, invulnerability. He has the energy of self-control, inner silence and calmness. He is the voice of justice which states the rights of others. He acts in order to provide goods for his court and servants, and he always wants to diminish punishments and increase rewards.

Yang shadow: The Tyrant

He hates and is scared, jealous of others’ creativity skills and of a new life (an heir) because he perceives it as a threat to his kingdom and world. He is not self-centred but always destructive. He exploits, abuses, and is merciless; he is without feeling and acts only for his own interests. His contempt for others is very big. He hates life energy because he lacks inner structure and is terrified by his weakness hidden behind the mask of tyranny. He has, in fact, no power, but he induces and rules by exerting fear.

Yin shadow: Mr. Nobody

He lacks force and inner light. He has a need to be appreciated and adored; he needs to feel important. He lacks centring and inner silence, inner security.
He is predisposed to paranoia. He sees threats everywhere. In fact, he projects his weakness onto others, often as an outburst of fury.

The Hero

A man who has harmoniously awakened this archetype is the only one that can totally assume a virile path in his life, with the necessary courage. He can completely give himself to a cause and has the power to totally mobilise himself to act accordingly. It is essential that this specific energy is awakened in any man because it represents the progressive force of life and realization. Psychologically, this archetype governs the expression of the highest human virtues - both individually and at the level of culture & society.Aggressiveness is an aspect of the subtle fire manifesting through this archetype, and must be fully controlled. When sublimated and harmoniously manifested, aggressiveness manifests as enthusiasm and effervescence which can even inspire and motivate others. It also manifests as the courage to say no and reject limitations and compromises. The man with the Spiritual Hero Archetype awakened manifests clear thinking and discrimination. He knows how to focus with a perfectly controlled consciousness and how to discipline his body. He displays full attention when needed. He knows what he wants and how to get it.The Spiritual Hero lives with a “never give up” attitude and has a great capacity to cope with pressure, especially in critical moments. Every warrior tradition says that to attain the necessary clarity of thought, it is essential that you live with the awareness of imminent death – live every day as if it was the last. The Spiritual Hero constantly develops and manifests perfect control in all aspects of life: especially in controlling attention and willpower, manifesting as focus and discipline. In other words, he manifests perfect self-control (towards all the energies in his being) and exerts a harmonious control (through the power of consciousness) over the energies in the environment. He can endure significant psychic and physical pain in pursuing his ideals. When this archetype alchemizes the energies of fire and aggressiveness in his being, he will naturally engage the power of fire towards more elevated spiritual purposes.A fundamental need of this archetype is to discover and pursue a genuine cause or superior ideal to fully devote himself to; he needs to be loyal to somebody or something. The Spiritual Hero doesn’t fight for himself but for his King / chosen master, or for God. Otherwise, the energies of fire will “wander” and manifest in disharmonious or uncontrolled ways, when not directed towards a higher purpose or ideal.

Yang shadow: The Sadist / Cruel Rebel

When the yang activation is disharmonious, the hero archetype can easily become cruel, motivated by the feeling of revenge and manifested as episodes of blind fury. Indulging in these uncontrolled energies is harmful to the hero because he can destroy everything he has built before at the peak of such a situation. In modern life, this shadow manifests in the men that are workaholics; they can endure a lot of pain and tiredness, being cruel to themselves and careless about their needs (and often about others’ needs as well).A big problem for this shadow is that man cannot find a good cause to devote his life to. Thus he wanders in confusion throughout the world, eternally frustrated and devoured by the fire within.

Yin shadow: The Mascohist

This is the one that projects only mentally the energy of the spiritual hero, but his real actions/doings are very weak. He is, in reality, a big coward and cannot defend or protect himself nor others). He allows others to push him beyond limits and what he can tolerate and endure. He thus loses respect for himself and falls into depression, torturing himself – many times secretly.

The Magician

This archetype is governed by the subtle air (vayu tattva) and the energy of planet Mercury modulated by the yang solar energy. It represents the archetype of wisdom (the wise man), and it is in resonance with Shiva Mayavin, the knower and the master of the energies. The man in which this archetype is naturally awakened knows and uses the power of magic and rituals. The magician is an initiate, and one of his duties is to initiate others. Every type of knowledge requiring special training belongs to this archetype, and the teachers were regarded as wise men in respect to that branch (the keeper of knowledge). Thus, the Magician Archetype is the holy man, the medicine initiate, the shaman, the guru, the astrologer, and the one knowing information that is mysterious to ordinary men.The Magician Archetype is aware of the links between worlds that connect the godly and the human, spirits of nature and subtle realities and can use them to access the worlds beyond; thus, he masters enormous energies. He is an adviser and a healer for physical and subtle bodies. He is the one who can think in unusual patterns, the prophet, the visionary who knows the laws of reality. The energy of the Magician Archetype is the most vertical of all, the most direct. It aims to always connect to the Ultimate Source. The energy of the Magician Archetype is sometimes naturally awakened in the hero as well, in the aspect of clarity of consciousness. There is a common combination between warrior and magician archetypes - the Warrior can act, and the Magician knows what needs to be done. When both sides are awakened in the same man, he is blessed with and manifests both knowledge and power. The Magician Archetype can induce a very special state of spiritual security - the feeling of being held in God’s hands.By awakening this energy and becoming one with Shiva Mayavin, man can manifest impressive qualities - even knowing the laws of nature and the tattvas, thus winning every battle (on all three worlds - physical, astral, and causal) and bringing peace, joy and life everywhere he manifests.

Yang shadow: The Manipulator

This shadow doesn’t guide but manipulates others - not to initiate them into a better life, but to keep them away from initiating information, so that he can continue to manipulate and use them as unconscious tools. He offers little information, and he does this only to prove his greatness and knowledge. He can be cruel, but he wants to be perceived as detached. The manipulator uses secret science only for his egotistical interests. Advertising is a common practice to manipulate and is the shadow of the genuine magician in modern times. They don’t guide us to a better life but manipulate us for “the good of others”.The Magician who has this shadow doesn’t share his knowledge and becomes isolated and alone. He cares only about his person. He uses his knowledge as a weapon to control others and to establish and strengthen his prosperity. He may manifest as a black magician harming the ones around him because he selfishly wants only himself to be content.

Yin shadow: The Naive One

He desires the power of the magician at a superficial (sometimes only social) level, but he never wishes to take the responsibility that characterizes a true magician. He doesn’t want to share, teach or assume his initiatic role. He only wishes to enjoy the social advantage of being the knowledge owner without making any effort to become a true master. He just wants to learn enough to superficially manipulate others or his environment, not for genuine spiritual transformation and evolution. This shadow can do a lot of harm to others from the spiritual perspective, and even feels a perverted joy from deviating others from the path. He can’t pick up the fruit and doesn’t let anyone else pick it up. He hides the truth to maintain his position. This comes from jealousy of those who have the power. The Naive Magician is afraid that one day the others will discover his weakness and lower him from his position. He is ironic in remarks and hostile in questions; even his experiences are intricately woven to cover his inner state of desolation, his lack of light and responsibility. He commits the sin of neglecting and denying. His hostile motivation comes behind a mask of simulated naivety. He is slippery, and he avoids the frontal attack of the warrior; he blocks the effort to confront him and tries to seduce: a never-ending process of questioning the intuition in connection with his faults: ‘Are you sure I am like this?’ and so on.When one dwells on his naivety, he performs a dramatic show with many tears to hide his true face, making one ashamed to have questioned him.

The Perfect Lover

This archetype correlates with Shiva Umapati, the Beloved of Uma Kumari - the Eternal virgin energy of the beginning and creativity. Also, within this archetype, there are energies of Shiva Ardhanarishvara primarily because there are manifested feminine nuances in this masculine archetype. Thus, the Perfect Lover Archetype is the most sensitive one, open to the inspiration of Godly Love.A man having activated this archetype feels everything profoundly inside. Thus, he is full of life and passion but also full of love and compassion towards all beings. He feels connected with everyone (very quickly entering into many relationships – because he truly loves those women) and often can easily perceive the holographic structure of everything.Profound and sublime aesthetic consciousness is expressed by this archetype in numberless creative ways. Even abstract knowledge can be perceived as sensations and feelings inside. He can feel the hidden reason behind people’s actions and can intuit the mysterious, hidden parts of others. He resonates with human suffering, is full of compassion, and tries to assimilate and sublimate it.

Yang shadow: Casanova (Don Juan)

This archetype's energy is disharmoniously overactive: such a man becomes the slave of his passions andmany uncontrolled desires. He becomes excessive and viciously indulges in lust, considering that there are no limits to erotic and sensual experiences. He sees the world as a reservoir of erotic pleasure. This shadow is constantly agitated and looking for something else, always discontent with what he has. Actually, he searches for ultimate ecstasy: the cosmic orgasm, but he lacks the patience and discipline to focus on the current experiences because he constantly searches for another “new” expression.

Yin shadow: The Impotent Lover

He lacks the elemental power of life - creativity. He has little to no feelings or enthusiasm. He is constantly bored, has no appetite for life, is constantly depressed, and feels meaningless. The man with this yin shadow lacks self-confidence and motivation, which could otherwise lead him to beneficial activities oriented towards others. He prefers isolation, and thus he never finds the love of his life.He has erotic problems, the most important being the lack of virility. His sensitivity is often covered by social problems, material problems and so on.

The Mother

The Mother Archetype corresponds to the ideal mother, the embodiment of all maternal qualities (nurturing, caring, devotion, self-giving, full of love and abnegation, and more). This archetype mirrors the stable state of the soul being in resonance with the universal Yin, the energy of the synthesis, the foundation of the world. The specific energy of the Mother Archetype can unify all the other energies (even members of a community, different people, parts of a project, actions, etc) into one unit or soul. The Mother Archetype manifests an acceptance full of love for everything natural and unspoiled. This archetype is connected to the “center” as a symbol of integration and unity. Thus, the mother can be considered the natural center of the home and in close connection with the Heart. The woman with this predominant archetype can easily focus inside, being fulfilled with what she finds there; she does not need many accomplishments and recognition from the outside. She is centered in herself and easily in communion with her soul and Supreme Self. For her, the Home can become a sacred place, full of heart and love. She makes everything holy because she charges everything with love and devotion.Due to the resonance with the subtle earth, she can undertake numerous tasks. She has the power to transform any burden into a detached meditation, so she perceives the tasks as opportunities to meditate and manifest cosmic energies.

Yang shadow: The Mother-in-Law

Dominating, tyrannical, suffocating, possessive, jealous of the lovers of her children, selfish and displaying ferocious possessiveness towards her children or grandchildren. Such a “mother” is able to do “anything” for them but in a very egoistic way.

Yin shadow: The Stepmother

A woman manifesting this shadow dwells in inertia, routine, and an excessively conservative attitude. For her, everything is in the service of conformism and security. She is very cold and lacks love. She is very egoistic but hides it well. She manifests a tremendous amount of indifference and narcissism. She feels increasing hostility towards her own children, leading to depression.

The Inspiring Heroine

The Inspiring Heroine is the most dynamic feminine archetype and is deeply connected with the Great Macrocosmic Powers Chinnamasta, Kali, and Tripura Bhairavi. The Inspiring Heroine archetype embodies force, strength, courage, sacrifice, independence, and autonomy. She easily amplifies the state of spiritual heroism (VIRA) in the men with whom she gets in contact. She can help the man she loves to fully realize his masculine nature. The Inspiring Heroine Archetype tends to be very committed to her causes and principles, and is sensitive to any injustice. This Archetype also offers the power to choose rightfully. She is interested in general aspects of life, revolted by the degradation of our society, fighting against injustice, fighting for noble causes, supporting moral values and principles etc., so this is why she is not interested in the typical eroticism or by banal aspects of daily life. There is a specific connection between manifesting this archetype and awakening Kundalini Shakti: both processes present the same tremendous fire of transformation (the sublime inner fire), the sum of all potentialities giving the capacity to reach success. In both, there is the courage to challenge life and win, thirst for ideals, enthusiasm and aspiration. The Inspiring Heroine Archetype manifests a very strong power to transmute and sublimate creative energy. Women with this archetype can easily sublimate their menstruation.

Yang shadow: The egocentric feminist / tough lesbian

When the yang energies are in excess, this archetype fights meaninglessly for stupid causes. In most situations, such a woman fights against men because she lacks the correct insight about polarity. She can turn out to be a deviated lesbian with cruel manifestations.

Yin shadow: The cowardly passive woman

She is always overcritical, overreacting but never acting.

The Initiating Woman

The Initiating Woman is connected with the Godly Wisdom that initiates and reveals spiritual knowledge to those who aspire to know and find God inside of them. She is endowed with intelligence, penetrating mental power and introspection, capacity to teach and guide others.Spiritually speaking, she represents the path towards discovering the reality of God. Such a woman that manifests this archetype predominantly constantly relates to the Universal reality of God that allows her access to essential hidden knowledge, which she reveals to those who are ready.Symbolically, the characteristic energy of this archetype is called the “daughter” because she is the closest to the Supreme parents (Shiva and Shakti) or, in other words, to God the Father and His almighty energy – the Holy Spirit (Mahashakti).
Thus, a woman with the predominance of the Initiating Woman Archetype spontaneously manifests a significant amount of self-confidence, faith, trust, tenderness, naturalness and elevation.
The Initiating Woman is in occult resonance with the sphere of force of the Great Macrocosmic Power Matangi (as the keeper of order and knowledge, the Spiritual Teacher, the Supreme Initiator), the Great Macrocosmic Power Tara (who bestows the liberating knowledge), the Great Macrocosmic Power Tripura Bagalamukhi (the godly inspired speech, the remover of evil), the Great Macrocosmic Power Dhumavati (the direct link to the Absolute) and with the Goddess Saraswati. The Initiating Woman archetype unites the sacred with the profane. A woman having this archetype awakened has a spontaneous resonance with the ineffable creative void, which is her source of fascination. The Initiating Woman's inner drive/tendency in relationships is to unify ecstatically with the energy of the man she loves. This man can often be identified as a father or guide. This subtle union is much related to the 3rd Eye (ajna chakra – the mental force centre), thus establishing a deep mental communion.

Yang shadow: The Witch

Keywords for this shadow archetype: manipulative, cold, without scruples, using dirty tactics to win, lacking morality or fairness. If it is a good strategy, she will use it; she is intelligent but without heart, lacking empathy and warmth of the soul. She dominates discussions, behaving only to prove herself right and manipulating everybody around her.

Yin shadow: The lonely, isolated Clever Girl

She is lost in the underworld of unconsciousness, and with an uncontrolled imagination, she is a victim of bad influences because of her dire presentiments. She dreams with open eyes about her imaginary qualities, considering that everybody around her is wrong for not understanding and appreciating her.

The Fascinating Woman

This archetype represents and manifests as the embodiment of Godly Love, the genuine (but often ignored) spiritual base of any desire for union, starting from the lower aspects – the mere erotic attraction and interaction – and reaching the peak of Godly Androgyny: the primordial unity between the ultimate masculine (+) principle with the feminine (-).Considering this, we can say that this archetype is the closest to the tantric path, especially as presented by the Kaula school. This archetype resonates the most with the Great Macrocosmic Power Tripura Sundari and secondarily with the Great Macrocosmic Powers Matangi and Kamalatmika.A woman of this archetype has a very powerful transfiguration, and can see beyond the ephemeral through mirroring. She can help her beloved man to know himself more and more deeply, thus manifesting the alchemy of transformation through love and mirroring. The Fascinating Woman is very dynamic, and her energy is highly transforming. She manifests energy that is oriented towards a clear focus, convergence and communication (linking and uniting the polar opposites).Such a woman has a godly role in communicating a godly message to the man she loves and, in a certain measure, to all the other persons she comes into contact with.Freedom is an essential aspect manifested and required by the Fascinating Woman archetype. Only when free can she express her beauty, fascination, and inspiring message, which essentially is to transform human love into a cosmic one through the sublime union with the supreme masculine – Shiva. The Fascinating Woman archetype is exceptionally feminine, and the state of Shakti is naturally present (as an ideal of her soul) in her being. She manifests (more or less consciously) the ability to awaken ideals in others and the wish to make their dreams come true - in connection to the infinite power of love that allows the impossible to become possible!

Yang shadow: The temptress / “femme fatale”

She lacks the genuine power to love and thinks that only attraction at the erotic level is enough to fulfill her. Thus, she attracts the man and leaves him shortly after. In the spur of the moment, she makes her lover feel like a god, but soon after, she leaves him and can produce many wounds, depression, anger and fury because the man feels used.

Yin shadow: The frigid woman / old maid

This is the woman who loves a man who mistreats her, undermines her and lacks appreciation. She will often fall into passivity, considering that all men are bad. She will refuse to manifest her own eroticism as a form of ‘punishment’ against mankind.
